I Ain't Saying She's a Gold Digger...

Actually, that's precisely what I'm saying -- if she participates in "natural selection" speed dating.

According to the group's web site:

"Pocket Change is honoring the age old union of wealthy men and hot girls. Society has taught us to not publicly acknowledge the obvious - no longer dear friends. Women want money in a man, men want beauty in a woman – this is a factual force of nature. Women don’t ask 'So, what does he do for a living?' because they’re interested in his personality and guys don’t ask 'is she hot?' because they’re concerned with character. Guys know that money buys them the car, the house and the trophy wife. This genetic cleansing is how the wealthy stay beautiful."

So, how long will it be before the LateNightShots crew adopts this type of event for the DC set? Judging by the paltry numbers being thrown around in LNS's "Consultant Salary Comparison" forum thread, the guys around here don't make nearly enough for this to work...

Any government/commercial consultants out there who want to share what they are making? What should a 26 yr old with an MA and 4 years experience realistically be making?

I’m at a large govt contractor, have been since March 2004 and make $72k, no bonus.

It completely depends on what you do/want to do and what your degree is in.

i’m 22 with no experience, working as a govt consultant, making 55K. with 4 years exp. and an MA, i’d expect to be making at least 90+, but maybe i’m delusional?

Do you guys have security clearances? That can make a big difference in what you could/should be getting paid.

I’m in the middle of the sec clearance process, working in the field which my background/education supports and making 72K. I’m of the same mind as yung joc though, and think I should be making more.

I do think young joc is delusional… maybe in the late 90’s you would have made comparable to that out of school… but not after 2001… but no experience you are right at the 55K range

  • Just remember, though, that $500,000 doesn't go as far as it used to, Johnny.
